RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java/Python Engineer in New York, NY.Summary:The Java/Python Engineer will be a member of the Derivatives Team, focusing on building, deploying, and supporting Derivatives functionality within this application. We will be leveraging the Bank's Risk as a Service (RaaS) offering, as well as building a number of cloud deployed microservices using Java, Python, and JavaScript.Responsibilities include:

• Java/Python Engineer will be responsible for hands-on design and development of solutions ranging from implementation of quantitative models & analytics, to the build out of trade entry capabilities for front-office Portfolio Managers, and Traders
• Integration of newly built software with existing internal platforms
• Participation in the full Software Delivery Lifecycle including coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and support, in a DevOps environment
• Working directly with end users to understand requirements, roll out functionality, and collect feedback
• As a Java/Python Engineer, you will be coordinating and collaborating with other teams contributing to the derivatives effort
• Participate in the user acceptance testing and training of new implementations (including the supervision and preparation of user documentation)

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Object Oriented analysis and development
• Automated Unit Testing
• Attention to detail, high level of accuracy
• Good communication skills
• Strong Analytical skills

• Judgment/Initiative
• Team player and leadership skills

Desirable Skills (at least 2 from the following list):

• Java
• JavaScript (preferably with React)
• Python
• Athena
• Familiarity with NoSQL/OO Databases

Desirable Business Knowledge:

• Fixed Income Derivatives
• Equity Derivatives
• Trade Lifecycle
