Position Overview

IT SITE COORINDATOR

The Novelis Clayton, NJ team is seeking an IT Site Coordinator. The person in this role will report to the IT Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leadership, project management and ongoing support of existing specified business systems including troubleshooting, vendor liaison, user liaison and continuous improvement and will provide leadership, project management and ongoing support of development of new or replacement business systems, initiated both within the plant and from corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Participate or lead plant projects, as agreed with the IT Director
• Keep control - Ensure plant IT applications & infrastructure are running accurately (security, SLA, performance) - Strengthen and secure as needed (maintain current versions, monitor)
• Coordinate with regional and global IT teams for incident resolution, change management, and new projects
• Ensure regional/global IT initiatives (like global SAP, global Datacenters, etc) are accurately rolled-out in the plant
• Plant IT point of contact for IT budget, IT dashboard and other IT reporting

Qualifications

• BS degree in Information Technology or Engineering
• 5+ experience as engineer with IT accountabilities
• Experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred
• Proficiency with Level 2 software, FIMS, Crystal Reports
• Excellent technical skills around business applications, software, database
• Proven skills surrounding infrastructure, servers, PC, local and wide area networks
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to interact with business users and plant management at all levels
• Attention to details, focus on delivery end-to-end services to final users
• Ability to work in matrix structure and collaborate with regional teams
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and lead indirect resources
• Strong ability to analyze and tackle problems collaborating with regional team

Location Profile

Built in 1970 the Clayton facility employs more than 100 people and engages in a re-rolling and finishing operation that supplies foil and light-gauge non-heat treatable aluminum coiled sheet and products including semi-rigid formed container stock HVAC standard and automotive fin stock pharmaceutical closure stock spiral duct stock and distribution.
