JOB SUMMARY (Description): Intern will gain valuable work experience and skills supporting the IT team and work closely with other departments. In this role, you'll help support Securitas charter to transform protective services by assisting the business analysis team in preparing business process documentation and strategies. Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, think creatively, and process driven.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Conducting research and compiling data about business processes

2. Analyzing internal processes, data and problems and identify benefits from enabling new capabilities

3. Supporting the business analysis team in developing business plans and strategies

4. Help organize data repository and support documentation

5. Assist in developing training materials, handouts, and desktop procedures

6. Works closely with business analysis team to understand the role of a business analyst within an IT organization

7. Offer suggestions for improvements

8. Complete other tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED

• College student or recent High School graduate with interest in pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field or work experience

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

• Analyzing & Interpreting Data - ability to understand and conclude from quantitative or qualitative data

• Attention to Detail - focusing on the details of work content, work steps and final work products

• Innovation - Imagining and devising new and better ways of doing things

• Leveraging Technology - applying technology for improvements in process efficiency and effectiveness

• Analyzing & Interpreting Data - drawing meaning and conclusions from quantitative or qualitative data

• Tools - Experience in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc. and any BPM software

• Effective communication skills

• Collaborates well with strong interpersonal and organizational savvy

Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands

• Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations

• Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey

• Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information

• Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

• Computer usage

• Regular talking and hearing

• Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus

• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, any of which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines

• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving of 50 pounds or more

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and additional hours
