Cornell College is accepting applications for a full-time IT Applications Support Analyst. This position provides end-user support, maintenance, builds data integrations, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of enterprise applications at Cornell College. The principal duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide timely support for end-users having difficulty with campus administrative software.
  • Function as the primary person within the Data and Applications team to manage the Enterprise Systems helpdesk queue and resolve or escalate tickets as necessary.
  • Document issues and known solutions using ticket-tracking software.
  • Create, modify, and/or deactivate enterprise application user access accounts.
  • Develop specifications for queries/reports and write corresponding SQL scripts to generate queries/reports/extracts.
  • Create, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain current integrations between 3rd-party applications and the Student Information System.
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Serve as an Enterprise Systems representative on project teams as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.

Technology Skills

  • Knowledge and experience (greater than two years) troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications, learning management system, or similarly complex system.
  • One year of experience creating basic Microsoft SQL queries, views and stored procedures using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience with the following software applications is a plus: Microsoft Dynamics GP, PowerCampus, Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft SSRS, and Microsoft .Net Framework.

Other Requirements of the position

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new computer applications quickly, effectively, and with little formal training.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; patience and experience in working with non-technical users and must be a self-starter, resourceful, and a team player.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Higher education experience is a plus.
