JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Analyst reports directly to the Materials Manager, and accomplishes a dual role in inventory management and other supply chain/planning requirements. The position works closely with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations personnel to drive inventory optimization, reduce stock-outs, improve and maintain inventory accuracy, including performing cycle counts, minimize excess and obsolete inventory, insure FIFO, perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective action.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Conducts and completes daily Cycle Counts as outlined in the corporate Cycle Count Program.* Accomplish inventory control and organization mission by completing related results as needed. * Record root cause findings and incorporates corrective actions.* Identify inventory control system improvements.* Perform on demand cycle count requests as required.* Oversee/train cycle count team.* Institute work instructions to facilitate training* Create and maintains current metrics with reporting on cycle count accuracy* Run reports and files in accordance with policy* Perform independent audits to assure inventory levels are properly maintained during transaction processes and corporate Cycle Count Program* Oversee audit process to ensure the compliance and adherence of all material transaction procedures through inventory trail diagnosis and multi warehouse inventory levels* Maintain projects related to inventory in an organized manner.* Maintain safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. * Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications* Perform other related job duties as assigned. * Consistently deliver the best in customer service. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Strong understanding of inventory management and cycle counts2-5 years minimum in inventory control in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with ERP business software (JDE, Oracle, SAP, or other)APICS trained/certification preferredLean/Six Sigma experience preferred but not required Mobile Equipment experience (Stand Up & Sit Down Lifts)

Attention to detail Computer- intermediate/advanced Excel skills Skills in database managements and record keepingMust be able to gather and analyze information, skillfully make decisions Must be able to use measuring equipment (Tape Measure, Caliper)Effective oral and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to comprehend and follow instructions Ability to work closely with others or in a team environment Ability to properly asses and prioritize tasks Ability to work alone and function independently Ability to work in a fast paces often changing environment

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Typical Working Conditions:

Office environment and manufacturing warehouse with constant noise.

Working around equipment and machinery

Equipment Used:

Office equipment (phone, desktop, keyboard, printer/scanner, etc.) and measurement tools (caliper, measuring tape).May also use warehouse mobile equipment. I.E. Forklift, Stand Up Reach Truck, or other mobile equipment.

Essential Physical Tasks:

Occasionally lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50lbsGross and fine manipulation Talking (ability to converse/communicate) and hearing (ordinary conversation, phone, assessment) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
