How you will make contributions that matter...

•Partner closely with the warehouse supervisor to ensure warehouse inventory tasks are effectively monitored and managed.

  • Manage inventory control activities to include identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes.
  • Monitor and manage goods receipt zones as well as aged pick and putaway tasks
  • Perform cycle counting, monitor all aspects of cycle counting as needed, and turn in accurate documentation.
  • Notify management of errors and damaged items.
  • Monitor in-transit inventory and place in appropriate locations.
  • Perform all end month inventory procedures.
  • Assists with annual inventory counts.
  • Maintain organization of packaging materials for the line and the warehouse.
  • Ensure proper communication is made with all necessary parties (packaging, warehouse, etc.
  • Communicate shortages to the warehouse supervisor and purchaser.
  • Remains approachable and accessible to employees.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times. Maintains confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are handled accordingly in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
  • Supports Saputo's commitment to preserve the environment by following all established policies and procedures related to such preservation. Reports any identified concerns regarding potential hazards to the environment.
  • Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Assists others as needed.
•Attend training sessions required in order to ensure system and process proficiency.
  • Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
•Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.

•Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you...
  • Two-years in a warehouse inventory role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including RF (radio frequency) handheld units, with word processing experience, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory location managed warehousing operations.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to operate industrial warehouse equipment.
