Description

Advanced Environmental Monitoring (AEM) continues to expand with a wide range of weather and water monitoring and analysis products and services. We solve the most complex environmental monitoring, and operational and safety issues for our customers.

AEM is seeking a Business Development and Enterprise Sales Manager to oversee and capture new business opportunities in Asia & Australia, based out of Australia. The position will work directly with the International Sales Manager and VP of Global Sales, as a member of a small team of territory-based business development managers, along with technical staff to pursue enterprise systems and services sales and distribution partnership opportunities for a variety of severe weather monitoring and alerting solutions including national lighting detection systems, greenhouse gas monitoring systems, surface water and dam monitoring and safety applications, and other environmental monitoring and alerting network solutions. Typical customers are large government organizations, utilities, energy, transportation, and public safety interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all sales activities in a designated territory

• Extensive travel within Asia to oversee existing accounts and capture new business

• Responsible for distribution channel development and management

• Lead generation and prospecting within assigned territory

• Develop sales materials for a variety of product and services

• Conduct presentations and live demos of key software products for prospective clients

• Interpret and provide expertise on solicitation requirements and ensure the development of RFP responses

• Coordinate sales activity with US based International Operations team

• Provide thought leadership through conference presentations and participation

• Attend multiple weekly scheduled meetings with USA team

• Track all sales related activity through SalesForce and Outreach

• Generate Quarterly Sales Territory Plans; meet quarterly sales quotas

• Research sales leads and generate lead lists in multiple markets

Requirements

  • BS degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3-5 years of sales or business development and enterprise sales experience
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • International business experience and language skills preferred
  • Fluency in at least 1 or 2 languages spoken in SE Asia
  • Additional skills in Mandarin and/or Japanese a plus
  • Experience marketing technology products and services, including some technical expertise a plus
  • Previous experience working with SaaS and HaaS models preferred
  • Experience working in Asia with particular consideration to China, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
