Academic Req:

Required - Bachelor's or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university, preferably in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field of study OR high school diploma or equivalent plus four (4) years of
experience

Certifications:

First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention

Work experience:

Required - Three (3) years of additional experience with a Child Placing Agency

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.

2. Assist in acceptance and distribution of project caseload to ensure all cases are accounted for and effectively assigned within the allotted time frame.

3. Monitor closing reports and closing report submissions to ensure program compliance with federal standards.

4. Regularly report program case status, including assignments, challenges and/or concerns regarding deadlines to supervisor.

5. Track program data daily to ensure compliance with program expectations. 6. Support new hires in completing required documentation.

7. Assist in planning program meetings and trainings, including travel, accommodation, transportation, meals, and documentation.

8. Coordinate project expense document uploading, including national car rentals and other large-scale expenses.

9. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.

10. Implement Compass Connections safety protocols in case of an emergency.

11. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.

12. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Receive and process incoming calls and emails in a timely manner.

2. At the direction of the position supervisor, assist in coordinating referral acceptance, federal entity verification, shelter notification and referral assignment/distribution.

3. Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.

4. Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.

Requirements:

1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.

2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.

3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.

4. Demonstrate the ability to:

a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.

b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.

c. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.

d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.

e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
