Alteryx is seeking a Instructional Designer, Revenue Enablement with experience in developing e-learning including re-imagining existing learning content to meet our specific program objectives through Instructor-led, Virtual Instructor-led, and asynchronous (eLearning) training program solutions for our sales teams and partners. In this role you will be reporting to the Manager, Learning Technologies. You will have the opportunity to create delightful and immersive learning experiences leveraging leading authoring technologies.

What you will do:

  • Develops and designs courses and curriculum.
  • Edits and develops online learning materials.
  • Creates learning experiences and environments.
  • Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
  • Develops instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
  • Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.
  • Manages online learning communities.
  • Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.
  • Trains program managers, stakeholders and content contributors in how to use learning technologies.
  • Facilitates discussion and collaboration via social media.
  • Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
  • Writes scripts for video and audio content.
  • Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Familiarity with course authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, Camtasia 2019-2022, Adobe Creative apps (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of recent learning & development experience; preferably in instructional design or learning asset materials development
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Experience interviewing project sponsors and subject matter professionals to gain detailed insight on learning asset requirements (target audience analysis, content scope and context and case study development)
  • Prior knowledge designing interactive learning interventions and performance support tools and creating detailed storyboards
  • Excellent organizational, communications, relationship, and project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines, manage heavy workloads and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to travel up to 10% travel
