The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific strives to improve the management of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases by providing healthcare professionals with sophisticated diagnostics technologies and clinical expertise. Our key businesses: allergy, autoimmunity, and systems.
This is a site-based account manager sales position driving demand for the ImmunoCAP product line with health care providers. The candidate will be provided the opportunity to learn and develop skills vital to perform all job duties at our Portage, MI site 5 days per week.

This position is crafted to promote the development of the successful candidate who has achieved the academic requirements, may have practical healthcare experience and has demonstrated a sales competence applicable to the position, but may lack sales experience in the healthcare industry.
What will you do?
PLAN PERFORMANCE & SALES SKILLS: Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by maintaining existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and collaborating with customer sales teams for targeted initiatives.
Demonstrate use of selling skills via phone or virtual platforms, such as making good opening statements, connecting with the customer, building relationships, asking open-ended and high gain questions to determine needs.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION: Use Needs Based Selling techniques within assigned accounts while incorporating the total office call to increase test volume and aid healthcare providers in test result interpretation. Develop, write, and implement a business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly. Host & assist customer facing meetings & events (i.e. vendor shows, seminars etc.); be able to travel at a maximum quarterly.
Maintain and increase current customer database through Thermo Fisher's customer relations management (CRM) software (Salesforce). Use system completely to fulfill management expectations for recording and using customer and sales information. Use data sources to analyze and capitalize on territory opportunities with the greatest value.
Communicate key competitive activities, trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, to include healthcare providers and lab customer feedback. Communicate account objectives and action plans to management via weekly calls, reports & other communication vehicles.
SALES TRAINING: Participate in programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Thermo Fisher philosophy, policies and procedures. Overnight travel may be required for these trainings & meetings.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL COMPREHENSION: Understand and use product features, benefits and applications to optimally promote and drive demand.
