Role Overview

As an Information Security Engineering Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in our information security function. You'll consult on complex initiatives, contribute to large-scale planning, and analyze multi-faceted security challenges. Your expertise will help us meet our information security goals while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities

• Consultation and Participation: Collaborate on complex initiatives with broad impact within information security engineering.
• Planning and Evaluation: Contribute to large-scale planning related to information security projects.
• Problem Solving: Review and analyze complex multi-faceted security challenges, considering multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Issue Resolution: Work with others to resolve complex and multi-faceted security situations effectively.
• Compliance and Policies: Leverage your understanding of function, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Client Collaboration: Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel in information security.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of information security engineering experience or equivalent (consulting, training, military, etc.).
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Information Security: Technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies.
  • Network Security and Protocols: Knowledge and understanding of network security and network protocols.
  • Vulnerability Identification and Remediation: Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability identification and remediation.
  • System Vulnerability Mitigation: Experience with system vulnerability detection and mitigation.
  • Cloud Deployment: Experience deploying applications on Microservices (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes) and to cloud platforms (TKGS, Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Cloud Security: Experience hardening and securing cloud environments.
  • Endpoint Security: Experience deploying and troubleshooting endpoint security agents (e.g., Tanium).
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Technology Production Support: Understanding of technology production support for fast-paced, dynamic, customer-facing applications requiring high availability.

Desired Skills

• Automation and Performance Testing: 1-2 years of experience.
• Cloud Computing: 2-4 years of experience.
• Automation with Python: (Desired skill, no specific experience mentioned).
• Cloud Architecture and Technologies: 2-4 years of experience.
• Containerization: 1-2 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Python Programming: 2-4 years of experience.
