Job Description Summary:
The Customer Information Reporting - Global Product Policy manager will ensure overall compliance with policy related to information reporting and withholding tax rules (including FATCA, CRS and 1099) across global products, processes, and procedures.
The successful candidate will be able to work with cross functional partners to evaluate new products and changes to existing products to determine applicability of existing information reporting policies and necessity for creation of new policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with global information reporting (IRS, FATCA and CRS) requirements and electronic filings, corrections, B-notices.
  • Review and evaluate new or updated global products for global information reporting impacts. Advise product development partners of any resulting policy requirements.
  • Draft business requirement documents such as one-pagers to assist product development in drafting functional specification documents.
  • Manage new product working group to advise stakeholders of potential information reporting impacts to their teams.
  • Maintain highly effective partnerships with impacted business areas and related processes that impact compliance related to new global products, such as cryptocurrency reporting.
  • Support initiatives related to system development and remediation activities to ensure regulatory compliance, process improvements and risk mitigation.

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA from an accredited institution and CPA, MBA or JD preferred.
  • 10 years experience with financial services compliance and monitoring experience.
  • 5+ years experience with IRS rules, regulations, and guidance relating to all types of US and global information reporting and/or back-up withholding regimes. AML/KYC experience preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of IRS forms 1099 and 1042-s, FATCA and CRS preferred.
  • Proven experience evaluating financial products for impact to global information reporting requirements.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Analytical verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with various levels of management (including senior and executive management) and high-ranking IRS officials.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Teradata, SQL.
