Job Description: Entry Level position within the Import Transportation Department. Position will support all department clerical / operational functions. Great opportunity for future growth in the Import Logistics Industry.
Areas of Responsibilities:
    • Shipment Arrival Notice / Freight Cost Management
      • Tracks and coordinates approvals with Customs Broker, Customs Compliance and Finance Teams
      • Coordinates/Codes/ Submits invoices to Finance Team for payment processing
    • PO Booking Notification
      • Review of purchase order tracking reporting to monitor booking status with our freight forwarder and coordinate where needed vendor reminder/notification to insure efforts match that of the purchase order arrival expectations
    • Shipping Documentation and Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) Audit
      • Responsible for monitoring any received notifications of missing required shipment documentation
      • Act as a liaison between broker and forwarder for any reported missing Advanced Shipping Notifications
    • Work Order Distribution to Dray Carriers
      • Notification of container arrival to the nominated Dray carrier
    • Adhoc Reporting
      • Special projects and requests
  • Strong in Microsoft EXCEL +
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external partners
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, multitasking and quick decision making environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours during peak season
