Overview

Summary of Responsibilities:

Initiates, develops and maintains sales of Lafayette Life products within assigned geographical area. Works with the Director Internal Wholesale Team - Product Illustration, Training and Ideation and Regional Sales VP's to achieve corporate life and annuity premium sales goals. Core to their success is the ability to recruit, train and onboard new GA's and IMO's. Provides a broad range of sales and marketing support to PPGA's and IMO's. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to independently make a broad range of decisions escalating to manager when appropriate and updating manager on regular basis. Uses extensive in-depth knowledge of Lafayette Life products, services, illustrations and systems to provide both electronic delivery and field training to support PPGA's and IMO's.
Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Recruits new GA's and IMO's in assigned territory who meet the company's quality standards to write profitable business. Maintains strong and positive relationships with existing GA's and IMO's in their assigned territory who write profitable business for LLIC.
  • Ability to conduct in-person and or virtual agency visits with or without supervision.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with producers to explore and uncover potential sales opportunities.
  • Provides electronic and field support within an assigned geographical area.
  • Producer and staff orientation and on-boarding.
  • New business illustration and in-force illustration subject matter expertise.
  • Producer and staff training.
  • Product introduction.
  • In the field as directed by the Director Internal Wholesale Team - Product Illustration, Training and Ideation and RSVP's.
  • Subject matter expertise in agent contracting, licensing and new business/customer service.
  • Makes proactive outbound telephone calls and email contacts to promote and provide sales product illustration support to producers within assigned territory.
  • Develops and utilizes advanced product and operational procedure knowledge. Product knowledge includes all LLIC products, sales systems, product introductions and enhancements/updates.
  • Answers inbound calls and emails from producers and RSVP's within their territory to actively support requests for product training and information, illustration system training and support, and case design.
  • Answers inbound calls and emails as liason and conduit for producers that require contact or interaction with operational and administrative departments.
  • Follows up on new business applications to help facilitate placement.
  • Completes ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise of life insurance and annuity products and understands agency management and structures.
  • Proven strong knowledge of LLIC website and its uses as an information and communication tool for GA's- IMO's advisors and staff.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of LLIC illustration software including integration with the various selling systems LLIC interacts with.
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully interpret and comminucate complex business needs with internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner while following proper grammar, diction and style.
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Demonstrated team player and able to compromise for the betterment of LLIC.
  • Proven good negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and present effective life and annuity product presentations, training presentations and Lafayette Life business advantages in all digital media and in-person formats.
  • Proven prior sales or management experience.
Work Setting:
  • This position works in an office setting and remains continuously in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. This position will frequently make repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or commensurate selection criteria experience.
Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
  • Life and Health license required.
Position Demands:
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
  • Frequent travel required - 50%.
