A client of ours located in LaPorte in the manufacturing industry is looking for a HR Generalist to join their team.

This position is open due to growth and has a GREAT career path for future growth.

This role is 100% onsite - Mon-Fri 8-5am

Responsibillities

• Manage employee relation issues related to policy, procedures, benefits and payroll.
• Assist with benefit renewals and workers compensation throughout the year and during renewal.
• Assist manager with their recruitment efforts
• Conduct employment checks, background checks, onboarding and new employee orientations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required (Business, HR or finance preferred)
• 5 years experience in human resources in the manufacturing industry

Experience:

• Must be proficient in regulations and policies specific to Texas. Compliance and adherence to labor law is required.
• Experience in TWC matters is preferred.
• Experience of managing relations in difficult and fast-paced environment
• Understanding of payroll practices and procedures (U.S. and Canada preferred)
• Strong Excel Skills - Ability to analyze employee data and draw business conclusions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
