Georgia State University is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the HR Customer Service Specialist I position, located on-site at Georgia State University's main campus in Downtown Atlanta. The position will support the HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Employee Records unit by being the primary contact for new employees joining the University and assist with day-to-day operations of the Human Capital management (HCM) functions and duties.     Serve as primary contact for new employees joining the UniversityAssist with day-to-day operations of the HCM functions and dutiesAssist new employees throughout the onboarding process, ensuring smooth and accurate communication and prompt resolution of requests and questionsCreate folders for I-9 documents and security questionnaire while maintaining compliance with records storage and retention requirementsVerify onboarding packets have been sent to and completed by the new hireEnsure offices supplies are stocked and ordered in a timely mannerCoordinate and schedule meetings and interviews for the Director and Assistant DirectorAdditional duties as assigned


Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, administrative, or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Software applications
Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous Human Resources HRIS experience
  • Previous experience working in a University environment
