Description:
Responsible for the appropriate release of information to attorneys, law enforcement, DHS, other health care organizations, patients and families etc. in compliance with Mercy Medical Center's policies and as allowed by law for patient care, legal matters, insurance/audits, education and research, etc. Scans information into the patient's EMR, validating the information has mapped to the correct patient, correct encounter and correct mapping location within specific timeframes to be available for continuity of care, coding/reimbursement, monitoring/auditing, etc. Analyzes the patient's EMR for completion, utilizing Profile deficiency analysis. Analyzes the providers' deficiencies in completion of patients' medical records using requirements outlined by CMS, Joint Commission and in the Medical Staff Bylaws that includes notification and suspension of non-compliant provider privileges.
QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Must have demonstrated competence in the use of computers and email.
3. Must be able to demonstrate, via typing test, the ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute, corrected.
4. Must be detail oriented.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Ability to work well with other individuals at various levels in the organization.
7. Ability to manage stress of stat requests, deadlines, workload, and constant interruptions.
8. Ability to work with minimal supervision and detailed information.
9. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
10. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
