Job Description

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking seeking a full-time Highway Project Manager for our growing Northern New England Transportation Group. This group is based in our Bedford, NH office, but candidates could potentially also work out of our Portsmouth, NH or Wilmington, MA offices. We are looking for individuals that are ready to manage highway engineering projects, supervise engineers, and work collectively with a multi-discipline team of engineers in a dynamic office environment on interesting and challenging projects. Our Northern New England projects involve varying types of roadway, bridge, intersection, and trail designs. GPI understands the significant responsibility we have as engineers to provide safe, practical, and context-sensitive transportation solutions to the many communities and clients we serve. Responsibilities:

  • Progressive experience in highway design for public agencies
  • Ability to take the primary supervisory role in the design and development of Plans, Specifications and Estimates for transportation projects under the oversight of the Director of Highway Engineering
  • Skills in supervising other engineers in the development of transportation design projects
  • Understanding of project contracts, schedules, budgets, and quality control
  • Experience in business development for transportation design projects
  • Experience with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT)
  • Experience with the Maine Department of Transportation (MEDOT) and NH and ME municipal clients is preferred
Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of highway engineering experience required
  • BS in Civil Engineering required
  • PE license (NE, ME, and/or MA) required
  • Bentley MicroStation / Inroads / OpenRoads experience required and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and direction given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours
