Interns will spend time daily on a project related to their lab and research focus.Job Description

Essential Functions:

• With the guidance of co-mentors, learn and implement lab safety practices essential to operating safely within assigned lab.

• Routinely maintain and update a lab notebook describing lab activities related to research and project.

• Participate in active reflections - recording questions, observations, and personal experiences in reflection journal.

• Participate in available professional and career development workshops.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: PhD

High school level mathematics and science

Physical Requirements:

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, light lifting, some repetitive motions/tasks

Accountabilities:

Reports to Dr. S. Bruce King, sponsor and chair of the department
