Your Role:

An exciting opportunity is now available to join our Bedford Site team within BioProcessing Business Performance. As Head of Quality for BioProcessing you will work within a highly visible team within BioProcessing. Working with R&D leads in the Bedford Site and other recently acquired technologies. You will be responsible for administering the Bedford site Quality Management systems, updating procedures and implementing new quality processes and systems where appropriate. This may include implementing a quality system in a new site. In your role, you will work independently with considerable latitude to establish priorities and activities needed for the project teams to be successful. You will be responsible for maintaining the Bedford site ISO certification through adherence to quality requirements, audit management, documentation, training, calibration and PM facilitation, self-inspections and supplier quality. Will be responsible to perform self-inspection audits and assist with internal/external audits. In addition, you will be responsible to drive product/process/systems and tool improvements through investigation and root cause analysis. Responsible to collaborate with EHS to improve/maintain BioP R&D compliance with MilliporeSigma's health and safety practices.

Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree plus 5 years related experience, OR 10 or more years Quality experience in life sciences, chemistry, medical device, engineering, business or related field
  • Experience driving cross functional teams with proven success

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and decision-making skills
  • Proactive and self-directed, ability to take calculated risks and high level of learning agility
  • Experience with administering a quality management system
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication (English), including reporting to upper management and ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Capable of evaluating situations, analyzing complex inputs and developing solutions in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of independence
  • Outstanding listening skills
  • Proficient in Office 365 Suite
  • Flexible and willingness to travel globally
