As a Hardware Validation Lead, you will be responsible for managing and driving execution of EE and system level validation of products under development. To be successful, you need a breadth of experience across several electrical engineering domains, including SoC, memory, high speed interfaces power, audio, display, camera, RF, power management, etc. You will also have the opportunity to organize validation efforts efficiently and report status to the team. As a lead, you should be prepared to be highly motivated, detail oriented and insist on the highest standards.

<ul><li>Lead hardware system validation and performance characterization activities for the VR HW Engineering team.</li><li>Define validation strategy and detailed test plans for new technologies and products under development, and work with internal and external test resources on test execution.</li><li>Track test progress, document bugs, and fixes and produce regular progress reports. Convert large amounts of data into a clear summary to communicate to stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.</li><li>Create test setups, collect and analyze data to help debug technical issues, and support cross-functional design engineering teams in driving resolution and verify fixes.</li><li>Work closely with the other product test teams and ensure alignment of validation and characterization plans.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and make recommendations to support overall test strategy.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience</li><li>3+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related fields, proven understanding of overall hardware system architecture common to consumer electronics products</li><li>Experience creating validation plans for hardware products including developing test methodologies for new features and technologies</li><li>Knowledge with testing at least three electrical subsystems such as power, sensors, display, touch, audio, camera or WiFi/GPS/LTE. Experience learning and extending to other areas as needed</li><li>Hands-on experience with testing electrical interfaces such as I2C, USB, HDMI, DP, MIPI, and PCI-e</li><li>Experience working on hardware system coexistence, RF desense, accessories integration etc.</li><li>Communication and interpersonal experience and experience communicating and driving issues to resolution across cross-functional teams</li><li>Experience working with overseas development and manufacturing partners</li></ul>

<ul><li>Strong team player and creative thinker who can lead technical teams, cross-functional groups and vendors to execute against validation plans</li><li>Strong understanding of consumer electronics product lifecycle, development process and partner eco-system</li><li>Knowledge of common certifications and compliance requirements for consumer electronic devices and power supplies</li><li>Working experience working with android software architecture and tool chain, test software development</li><li>Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering</li></ul>
