Position Information: You will perform the responsibilities for this special appointment as a Graduate Research Assistant during the University’s academic year, August 16, 2021 to May 15, 2022.  Each academic year is considered to be a term of this appointment and the decision to issue a new the appointment for the next academic year is at the discretion of the institution. The ability to serve as a Graduate Assistant is contingent upon the need of Department, financial ability of the Department and/or School/College, continued enrollment in the University’s graduate program, and satisfactory performance evaluations.Duties & Responsibilities

Your specific responsibilities are determined by the Department of Biomedical Sciences and are subject to change based on the needs of the Department and/or School/College. As a half- time assistant, you are expected to:

Devote 20 hours of work per week to the department; and

Enroll in a minimum of six credits of graduate coursework during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters

Other duties specific to the appointment (e.g teaching, research, or service expectations).

Requirements
  • Been accepted into the UND School of Graduate Studies and the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

Graduate Research Assistant

Annual Stipend/Monthly Stipend: $27,054 / $2,254.50

Work Schedule/Start Date

Work 20 hours per week in a research lab.

Start approximately January 10, 2022
