Capital University is seeking a Graduate Admissions Recruiter to recruit and enroll qualified and diverse students in its current and future graduate and post-baccalaureate programs in Business, including the MBA, as well as certificate and continuing education programs. The Graduate Admissions Recruiter will process applications and advise incoming students in conjunction with the School of Management and Leadership dean, director, and faculty, and will develop and execute innovative tactics to proactively engage and yield prospective students to meet targeted enrollment goals. They will plan, implement and attend external and on-campus recruitment events, and generate effective communication tools, including use of the customer relationship management system (Slate), social media, workshops and presentations. The Graduate Recruiter will engage with external organizations for the purpose of generating enrollment in graduate and post-baccalaureate business programs. The position requires travel, as well as evening and weekend responsibilities. Proficiency with Slate is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inquiries and applications for assigned business programs. Process applications and advise incoming students in conjunction with dean, director, and faculty.
  • Develop and implement innovative tactics to meet targeted enrollment goals. Proactively identify and yield qualified, diverse students for Capital University's current and future graduate, post-baccalaureate, certificate and continuing education programs in Business.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Dean of the School of Management and Leadership, and the MBA Director to identify and engage with external organizations for the purpose of generating enrollment in assigned programs. Travel to organizations, job fairs, and other venues to promote Capital's business programs.
  • Implement effective communication and candidate tracking tools, including the use of the customer relationship management system (Slate). Create and deliver effective social media campaigns, workshops, one-on-one and group presentations to generate interest and yield enrollment.
  • Work effectively with campus partners to meet mutual objectives, including academic chairs, deans and directors, student development directors, marketing, financial aid, registrar, and admissions operations. Serve on appropriate University committees and task forces.
  • Track and assess the effectiveness of recruitment and admissions activities and recommend and implement improvements to meet enrollment goals.
  • Actively participate in onboarding activities for new graduate and post-baccalaureate students, including new student orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Two+ years of experience in admissions recruitment in higher education for professional programs preferred. Business experience preferred.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively present information to a wide range of constituents, including senior organizational leaders, public groups, and people from diverse cultures and worldviews.
  • Ability to work professionally with others as part of a team, be adaptable, and work well with diverse constituents.
  • Demonstrated success taking initiative, collaboratively setting and attaining performance goals, working without close supervision, and managing multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Ability to define problems and make data-informed decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Power Point. Proficient in using CRM and ERP technology. Slate and Ellucian Colleague experience preferred.
