We are currently seeking a Global Portfolio Director, OBU Medical. In this role you will apply your deep expertise in project management and partner engagement to lead multi-disciplinary project teams within OBU Medical's Evidence Generation, Publications and Partnerships organization. You will apply your leadership capabilities, change management, budget oversight, and problem-solving skills to the portfolio management of the Evidence Generation, Publications and Partnerships (EGP2) organization.
This role would report directly to the Head of Strategy, Portfolio & Operations and will partner closely with the VP, Medical Evidence Generation, Publications and Partnerships (EGP2).
Leadership Team
- Partners with VP EGP2 to develop goals, projects, budgets, schedules, and performance standards for EGP2 organization, and monitors progress and mitigates risks for delivery of these.
- Facilitates EGP2 LT meetings, providing strategic input into meeting agendas, and manage action items from those meetings.
- Works closely with the EGP2 LT and extended LT to coordinate key workstreams within the organization to support initiatives focusing on efficient ways of working, career development and culture.
- Oversees activities supporting internal audits for all functions under EGP2.
- Responsible for strategic planning and development of key functional team deliverables such as scorecards, value metrics, department forums, walking decks, leadership presentations, etc.
Project Management Team
- Manages project managers responsible for supporting Evidence Delivery, External Scientific Partnerships, Publications, Oncology Outcomes Research and Center of Data Excellence, and Evidence Governance teams, and creates a successful team by building trust and providing mentorship.
- Partners with other project managers supporting Medical Teams to ensure alignment across the GMA organization.
- Drives strategic alignment and business planning cycle to facilitate effective medical planning across OBU Medical, with a special focus on Integrated Evidence Plans.
Required experience:
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Comprehensive understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products
- Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands
- Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment and managing stakeholders within different time zones
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to executive leadership
- Experience working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Requirements:
- Graduate level degree in sciences or business degree
- Six Sigma/PMP/PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
- Understanding of BioPharma medical affairs, scientific and/or commercial organizations in Oncology is a plus.
- Experience managing teams across time zones and geographies Life Sciences Consulting experience is a plus.
