Job Description

The Gift Processing Specialist supports The WNET Group's Development leadership, overseeing and coordinating gift/grant processing, and revenue tracking and analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and support of strategic directives.

Reporting to the Director, Development Operations, the Gift Processing Specialist will assist in tracking and reporting for the Individual and Institutional fundraising teams and support key initiatives of the department. Working in collaboration with the team, the Gift Processing Specialist will oversee and optimize the Development department's database and receivables tracking system. Additional responsibilities include:

• Process unrestricted contributions for Major Gifts, Patron, Institutional and others;
• Process restricted and complicated contributions, including stock donations in conjunction with Finance;
• Maintain Monthly Project Dashboard for the VP of Development, in partnership with Producers, Development team and Finance;
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, PowerPoint slides that provide insight into overall revenue;
• Develop and maintain reports and other gift information requests by Development Senior Management in collaboration with Finance when needed;
• Coordinate with fundraisers and Finance to ensure the proper credit of gifts and pledges are received;
• Facilitate information movement within the department about programs, projects, and initiatives;
• Oversee gift acknowledgements and processes;
• Assist in overseeing caging/lockbox vendor; serve as the liaison for donation issues;
• Review and complete all gift adjustments in conjunction with Finance;
• Serve as back up for Senior Coordinator, Gift Processing in sorting mail received;
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in development operations and/or financial/accounting processes;
• Proficiency with fundraising software; query reporting and database systems management experience;
• Sharp analytical skills; detail-orientation with excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills;
• Ability to exercise a high level of discretion and professional judgment.

Candidates with knowledge of/experience with Salesforce preferred.

The position requires onsite work at our offices at Worldwide Plaza, 825 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY. Per WNET's vaccine mandate policy and in accord New York City's existing vaccine requirement, the successful candidate must show proof that they are fully vaccinated under applicable guidelines.
