Our Client is seeking a Full Stack Developer - .Net in Hybrid / Chicago, IL.

Role Description

As a member of the Accounting IT team, you will work with our account teams and IT teams to write and update Accounting applications using modern technologies. The successful candidate will need to work in a team environment, help influence the direction of our technology and be able to interact with other team members and teams on creating exciting solutions to complex problems. You will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact - the work you do will help in tangible ways
Follow our software development practices and methodologies
• Participate in scrum ceremonies, including Story Pointing, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives
• Create/enhance applications that will enable Accounting to work in smarter, faster and more efficient ways. - Translate requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life.
• Communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex and high performing team environment.
• Willingness to participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle. - Follow team and company software development guidelines.
• The list of responsibilities may not be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as needed

Skills & Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience developing software in professional environment, preferably in C#, .Net
• 5 years of professional relational database development (Microsoft SQL Server)
• 5 years of professional basic web technologies (HTML, XML)
• Strong in Computer Science fundamentals and core areas like problem solving, data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis
• Strong understanding of Enterprise architecture patterns, Object Oriented & Service Oriented principles, design patterns, industry best practices
• Ability to test your work thoroughly before moving onto the next task

What are the preferred skills needed for this role?

• Knowledge of Accounting/Financial processes/data or a strong desire to learn
• Interest and ability to learn new technologies as required.
• Analyze and recommend development strategies, process improvements and standards.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Front-end development frameworks, Cloud services (Microsoft Azure), Kubernetes, Message queue-based designs/implementations, Git code repositories
• Knowledge of server-side configuration and deployment (IIS, TeamCity, Octopus, Azure DevOps).
• ETL and Data Management / Data Integration - Web Services (SOAP) and REST API connection / testing

Benefits/Other Compensation

Paid Time Off (PTO) PTO Carry-Over: Up to 40 hours of unused PTO may be carried over to the first quarter of the following year. Any PTO that has been carried over and is not used during the first quarter will be forfeited. Employees will also receive an additional 40hrs of Sick Leave/yearHolidays: The Company typically observes the following nine holidays each year:• New Year's Day (January 1st every year)• Martin Luther King Day• Presidents Day• Good Friday• Memorial Day (last Monday in May)• Independence Day (July 4th every year)• Labor Day (1st Monday in September)• Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November)• Christmas Day (December 25th every year)Bonus: The bonus is a range between 10-15% of your salary and is paid out two times a year. It is based on company and personal performance.
