Posted Job TitleFront Desk Coordinator of Racquet SportsJob Profile TitleCoordinator AJob Description SummaryFront Desk Coordinator of Hecht/Hamlin Tennis Center and Penn Squash Center will assist with all customer service and front desk operations.

This includes but is not limited to helping facilities remain fiscally responsible by assisting in customer service issues, monitoring our court booking systems (Club Automation and Club Locker), responding to voice/email messages received from patrons, and helping to enhance the experience of all members and guest of our facilities.

Also assisting with marketing and promotion of programs and activities via daily interaction with members and non-members of both facilities.

The position will be responsible for assisting the front desk staff and facilities during the evening and weekend shifts. During special events this person will be a point of contact for weekend internal and external events. This position will report directly to Assistant Manager of Racquet Centers..Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the court reservation applications in both the tennis and squash centers. This includes but is not limited to confirming the accuracy of both applications - all waivers have been completed, the correct number of players on court, and determining if payments were collected.

  • Assist with website emails received and all desk voice messages received daily.

  • Assist Assistant Manager with desk staff at both the tennis and squash centers. Educate all desk staff on programs and how to promote weekly and special events.

  • Provide customer service to both members and non-members utilizing the facilities. Enhance the program and private lesson experience for all, educate patrons of all programming that is provided, present facility tours to prospective members, and provide information on all programs and activities taking place at both facilities.

  • Front Desk responsibilities during events hosted at both facilities. Providing customer service and facility information to create a pleasant experience for all visitors.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Sports Administration, Recreation, Athletic/Recreation Administration.
  • 1 year to 2 years of direct experience in managing a recreation and/or athletic facility or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience supervising facilities staff a plus. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and American Red Cross CPR certification required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and/or holiday required. Regular schedule will be closing facilities Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • The regular weekend schedule will be opening facility on Saturday and Sunday.
