Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Food Technologist. They are a billion-dollar food manufacturing company.

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Food Technologist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, improving, and ensuring the quality and safety of our food products. As a Food Technologist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply scientific principles, and utilize your expertise to contribute to the creation of new and exciting food products.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Development:
    • Lead and participate in the development of new food products from concept to commercialization.
    • Conduct research to identify new ingredients and technologies that enhance product quality, taste, and nutritional value.
    • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and production teams to align product development with market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure the consistency and safety of food products.
    • Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze product samples to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and specifications of raw materials.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Evaluate and enhance existing production processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Implement and oversee quality assurance protocols during manufacturing to meet regulatory requirements.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to product quality or production processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed about relevant food safety regulations and ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards.
    • Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to prepare and submit necessary documentation for product approvals.
  • Research and Innovation:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements in food technology.
    • Conduct research to explore and recommend new technologies that can improve product development processes.

  • SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
    • B.S. or M.S. degree in Food Science with 5 years - 7 years experience in the food industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Basic understanding of ingredient functionality/interactions and sensory evaluation techniques.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects; manage to establish deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel through verbal, written, and electronic modes.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
      and prioritize.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • An adept critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to holistically analyze opportunities and risks and formulate well-reasoned recommendations
      for the business.
