Job Description:

Manage day-to-day activities of the FP&A department in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Oversee a variety of FP&A activities to ensure the organization's financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, leads, and implements the financial reporting and forecasting activities of the business.
  • Leads and monitors the analyses and reporting, including monthly financial analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, pipeline analysis, and graphical summaries of business unit financial performance.
  • Manage or perform periodical or ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations and reports as needed from management.
  • Analyzes system design alternatives and identifies potential improvements to existing systems and processes. Resolves issues and problems related to system platforms.
  • Manages initiatives targeted at financial processes improvement and the implementation of changes to achieve efficiencies and the company's objectives in the areas of financial planning and analysis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of experience including 1-3 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of financial planning and analysis processes and policies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel. Hyperion (HFM) a plus.
