Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) is currently seeking a Finance Supervisor for Engineering Research & Development to work in our Financial Control team. Our team provides financial leadership, oversight, and analytical support to the North America Engineering organizations. You will serve as a partner to the operations, with the responsibility of controlling and managing all aspects of spending for approved product programs.

What you'll do:

This individual serves as the Finance single-point-of-contact for all Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) spending for all vehicle and powertrain programs in North America. This individual works closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Product Finance staffs to manage and control all aspects of spending on approved programs, including leading the development, reporting, and tracking of budgeted, actual, and forecast spending for all North America programs. This role interacts very closely with the Engineering Operations teams as a direct business partner, and also supports key financial analysis and external reporting requirements for Stellantis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with operations to manage program spending and KPIs, providing analysis, oversight, and reporting, including support for external Company reporting requirements
  • Supervise a team of 3 analysts
  • Lead budget development, forecasts, and risk & opportunity assessments for programs
  • Lead actual reporting, including variance analysis with supporting KPIs/physicals
  • Assess programs for appropriate financial treatment (capitalization vs. expense)
  • Review and approve spending requisitions
  • Support cost reductions / development of opportunities for reducing cost
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed
What you'll learn:

  • Manage collaboration with engineering counterparts to optimize efficiency of ER&D spending from cost controllership perspective
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with large data sets, and the ability to summarize and present the material in a clear and concise manner to all levels of operating and finance management
  • Learn Stellantis' product development process as well as the management process throughout the vehicle lifecycle
