Job Title: Facilities Maintenance & Operations Manager w/ PE License

Job Summary: Responsible for managing a multiyear research and development facility services contract in the Pueblo Colorado Area. The facility to be maintained is the Transportation Technology Center (TTC). The TTC is comprised of 10 buildings / structures totaling approximately 500,000 square feet residing on 30,000 acres. Site also has approximately 50 miles of railway. Facilities contractor is not responsible for rail maintenance or maintenance of any specialty testing equipment. The TTC provides a central hub for transportation research and development (R&D), training, and testing for all aspects of the transportation industry to include government, educational, and commercial entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of small workforce made up of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, support trades, central call desk, and administrative staff.
  • Executing an effective Preventive / Predictive Maintenance Program. In addition, must be able to review, scope and execute facility maintenance and repairs as well as understand, estimate, and execute on demand minor construction and renovation projects.
  • Ensures equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with technical specifications and all work is clearly documented within the work / asset management system (CMMS).
  • Meets with Customer, Facility Managers, and other Representatives to reconcile requirements and work status. Individual is the primary representative for the company during meetings with the customer(s) regarding facilities issues.
  • Coordinates with Site Quality Control to ensure all work is in compliance with technical specifications.
  • Champions site-wide safety program and strives to maintain an accident free environment while continuously promoting quality and customer service
  • Reviews departmental operational procedures and processes and implements changes as required streamlining operations, improving productivity and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Maintaining a good working environment. This includes conflict resolution, conducting personnel performance evaluations, and documenting resource needs.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working on Federal Government Contracts is a plus
  • Experience managing a workforce of 10 people minimum required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical degree preferred). Strong understating of HVAC and mechanical systems is desired.
  • Candidate must also be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado.
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience as a manager in Facilities Maintenance & Operations / Project Management

Compensation Range: $125,000 - $155,000
