Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides analytical and specialized administrative support to relieve and assist executive, administrative, line and staff managers of complex details and advanced administrative duties. Duties may vary from secretarial functions such as mail, typing assignments, screening calls, setting meetings, etc., to executing special or continuous research and data analysis tasks. This would involve analyzing problems, determining approach, compiling and preparing reports/recommendations. Coordinates activities between departments and outside parties. Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports. Work is generally of a critical or confidential nature. Assignments may be found in various functional areas.

SPECIALIST LEVEL:
In high impact and/or highly complex functions and under minimal supervision, is given the most complex assignments requiring specific expertise. Exercises latitude in determining approach to work. Expected to contribute to the development of techniques, processes, and practices that advance the effectiveness of the organization or function. May lead major project initiatives. May act as group leader. Required to apply extensive knowledge and skills in the discipline and in related fields in order to contribute to advanced development benefiting the organization or function. Expected to mentor and transfer knowledge to more junior staff members. Works autonomously to resolve the most complex problems. Has latitude in determining methods and processes on new assignments and making recommendations for change of existing procedures and policies.
