The Opportunity

We are currently hiring an EVP of Sales & Marketing to lead our sales function with the purpose of helping Tradebe US to achieve its revenue target and strategic goals. Our corporate office in located in Downtown Chicago, but this person can be located near any of our regional offices or homebased.

Seeking a dynamic and strategic EVP of Sales to lead our revenue generation efforts and drive growth through strategic business development agreements that lead to sales force optimization. Reporting to the CEO and part of the Executive Leadership team, you will be instrumental in shaping our sales strategy, management, performance, and accountability of all members in the sales department. You will play a critical role in driving sales growth, expanding our market presence, capitalizing on long term and short term agreements with outlets, act as voice of customer, and solidifying our position as a leader in the environmental services business. A dedicated and analytical leader that can oversee daily sales activities, meet with key customers, design, manage and implement meaningful incentive plans for all members of sale department. Is comfortable partnering with sales directors and senior internal leaders to write growth strategy and present to executive committee. Under your leadership will be a team of 90 people, 6 direct reports: sales, marketing, customer service, proposals, billing, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategy by leading the development and execution of a comprehensive sales generation strategy aligned with our business objectives and targets. Identify new sales streams, market opportunities, and growth initiatives to drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Secure strategic business development deals. Negotiate and close high-value deals with key customers to secure short and long term partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, customers and outlets to develop opportunities that enhance our market position and drive sales growth.
  • Optimize our sales force, customer experience team, pricing, marketing, billing, and proposals located across the US. Fostering collaboration while respecting their unique approaches.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and training programs to optimize the teams productivity and effectiveness while building a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Focus on account manager team to execute end to end sales including outreach, pitching, getting alignment, negotiation, closing deals and implementation.
  • Ensuring a robust after-sales process to deliver strong customer engagement.
  • Generating and qualifying new leads and using different approaches to penetrate prospective accounts
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with other internal stakeholders.
  • Monitoring market trends and providing regular competitor analysis.
  • Continually assessing, clarifying, and validating strategy and process.
  • Partner and lead analyst to track, measure, and report on sales effectiveness and adjust programs and strategies as necessary.
  • Ensuring the proper use of CRM databases and tools to track performance.
  • Leading Marketing team for demand generation, inbound and outbound, and other marketing programs to drive high conversion rates and efficient customer acquisition.
  • Working cross-functionally internally to ensure messaging alignment, and operational coordination.
  • Monitoring market trends and providing regular competitor analysis.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but other degrees or equivalent and relevant industry experience will be considered. MBA would be a plus.
  • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in the environmental service industry or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience, and a strong track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, leading director level teams with experience sitting on the executive committee.
  • Excellent business acumen and be able to react quickly and effectively to changing circumstances.
  • Successfully having built, scaled, and led high performing sales teams.
  • Ability to prospect and manage senior level relationships.
  • Team player that thrives in helping others succeed.
  • Strategic thinker & problem solver with the ability to be hands-on.
