Cornell College is accepting applications for a full-time Event & Facility Coordinator, Thomas Commons and Summer Programs. This position manages the daily operations of the Thomas Commons which serves as the campus center and is open from approximately 6:30 am-midnight daily. The event & facility coordinator also coordinates room and space reservations and set-ups, oversees the Information Desk, manages information in various forms to assist campus and external parties, and supervises student employees. This position coordinates the college's summer academic and athletic programs for pre-college students to include the One Course Summer Institute, sports camps, and other programs that may be developed in the future.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of related experience.
Preferred Skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, to plan ahead and to anticipate potential problems; typing and word processing skills; knowledge of telephone etiquette and general office procedures. Capacity to learn various standard operating procedures at the College, functions of departments, and informational and reference sources; ability to update and maintain information in multiple venues including a web page. Ability to effectively and promptly respond to numerous inquiries and to interact professionally in a variety of situations (in person, on the telephone and through electronic mail). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Fine finger movement is required for typing and word processing. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
