GHD's Northeast Environmental business is looking for students to join us for the summer of 2023 as Environmental Interns. These opportunities will be based in Exton, PA, Niagara Falls, NY and Syracuse, NY.

In this role, you'll work closely with and in support of project managers, professional engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and skilled technicians/technologists to coordinate and implement a wide variety of environmental engineering solutions and project goals (i.e. air quality, solid waste, remediation, health & safety, etc.)

You will work on report writing, data management, and field equipment maintenance. This role may also provide you with field experience. You may receive training on soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation and overall operations and maintenance for remediation systems.

Successful skills and qualifications:

• Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology/Hydrogeology or related field
• Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
• Strong sense of motivation and a thirst for knowledge
• Takes the initiative to identify ways to assist staff and be ready to help with any task big or small
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
