The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will plan, administer, and supervise an ongoing environmental, safety, and health program in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, EPA requirements and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Materion's EHS systems, processes and programs.

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will have the opportunity to:

• Partner with facility leadership in the development and execution of EHS performance improvement plans.
• Design, practice and ensure compliance with safety policies to comply with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Formulate, document and maintain site specific general safety, health policies. Implement corporate EH&S policies and procedures.
• Support our continuous improvement culture for EHS.
• Conduct risk assessments of potentially hazardous tasks or conditions and assist in the design of interventions before injuries occur.
• Develop budgets and manage activities to accomplish financial objectives relating to EHS.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree - preferably within science or engineering disciplines.
• Master's degree in EHS field preferred.
• CSP or CIH certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of EHS with a track record of consistent improvement in EHS objectives.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and managing programs aimed at ensuring compliance with federal and state EHS regulations.
• Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.
• Experience working with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 requirements.
• Knowledge of Storm Water Pollution Prevention and the Toxic Substance Control Act.
• Knowledge of environmental water and air permit compliance.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction
