Job Description Summary
The Enterprise Architect: Cloud and Infrastructure is responsible for interpreting the organization's objectives and the enterprise architecture context into Enterprise Architecture standards and usage guidelines for the cloud & infrastructure domain. The role is jointly responsible for architectural governance of the cloud & infrastructure domain; and, for solution architecture and design deliverables for assigned projects aligned to our architectural standards, principles and SDLC methodology. This role requires close working relationships with Business and IT leadership, operations management, Business Alignment Teams, extended Enterprise Architecture team, and the PMO office.

Job Description

  • The Cloud & Infrastructure enterprise architect applies vast experience of system architectures, application technologies, data architectures, and infrastructures to support key IT initiatives and to drive the strategy of the Cloud & Infrastructure domain.
  • Analyze solutions and technologies and make recommendations based on knowledge of the organization's current and future needs.
  • Lead the development of a Reference and Destination Solution and Technical Architecture standards and Usage guidelines for enabling the delivery of business capabilities based on industry trends, innovation and business drivers.
  • Develop solution architecture roadmaps in conjunction with business process partners and strategy teams.
  • Work as part of Architecture group, as well as business alignment team, to convert business requirements into an architecture blueprint and conceptual design, based on the Architecture standards and usage guidelines.
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture Review Board for Architecture Governance across architecture domains.
  • Facilitate product selection as part of Architecture Standards definition. Partner with Business, Business Alignment Team and Solution Delivery teams to select an approach and products to meet business needs in line with Architecture standards and guidelines.
  • Provide technical and architecture consulting to business and business alignment teams.
  • Provide architecture and solution guidance to project teams in support of solution design and development.
  • Lead identification of assets or services that can be re-used by the project teams to drive consistency, cost reduction, and increases speed to market within assigned architecture or functional domains.
  • Proactively monitor strategic direction of Solution Vendors, technology and market trends, and determine their potential impact and value to the enterprise.
  • Facilitate targeted innovation for the architecture domain. Research and lead proof-of-concepts to assess and build new capabilities for this architecture domain. Also work across architecture domains to innovate on capabilities and solutions across the enterprise (Cloud, Mobility, Integration, etc.)
  • Participate and provide oversight to the implementation of solution standards and/or other industry best practices.
  • Chair domain Technology Review board to establish the architecture, principle and standards that Lamb Weston uses to deploy and support technology.
  • Advocate the communication of and adherence to defined architecture strategy.
  • Prepares presentations, documents, diagrams, models, and other artifacts as required to communicate analysis, recommendations, or designs.
  • Mentor and help to build the skill and experience of less senior Architects regarding blueprint and conceptual design documents and establishing destination architectures and standards.

Job Qualifications
  • A complete understanding of the technology required for cloud computing.
  • Experience in designing the applications that will be migrated to the cloud.
  • Bachelor's degree, or related experience required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years working as an Infrastructure & Cloud architect in an architecture team.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of systems architectural concepts and frameworks like TOGAF preferred.
  • Experience developing 3-5-year roadmaps of the evolution of the enterprise infrastructure portfolio from current to future state.
  • Experience working with SaaS, IaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Experience with Active Directory, MIM, SSO. Experience with OKTA preferred.
  • Experience developing, modifying, and executing IT strategies within the product portfolio suite.
  • Ability to influence the strategic direction of senior leadership.
  • Ability to form relationships and partner effectively with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Must have excellent communication skills
