Job Information

The Engineering Manager will manage the manufacturing engineering process development group to accomplish targets outlined in the Company's 5-year plan. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing manufacturing processes that are cost-competitive, high quality, and meet or exceed market requirements.

Role & Responsibility

Staff Management

• Outline a strategy for employee growth, development, and succession planning for the assigned department.
• Assist in developing engineering goals and strategies, ensuring alignment with the Company's goals.
• Collaborate with the planning group to initiate new ideas for future and existing products for the Long-Range Plan (LRP).
• Collaborate with other functional areas to accomplish goals per the LRP.
• Participate in meetings on the development and status of major activities.
• Plan and manage the development of existing and new products per schedules outlined in the LRP.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain the operating budget for one's assigned area in line with LRP.
• Respond and solve any field problems and warranty issues.
• Improve product quality, reliability, and system cost through warranty and Quality Cost Improvement programs.
• Continually improve the Product Development Process, Engineering Systems, and Knowledge Management Systems.

Job Requirement

• Proficiency in developing and mentoring future managers for the company.
• Ability to deal with peers and managers at all levels and functions within the Company.
• A clear understanding of Global Engineering & manufacturing needs.
• Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Experience Required: 10+ years in manufacturing
• Travel Required: < 10%
