Position Purpose:

This Manufacturing Engineering position is focused on continuous improvement and training of assembly processes within the manufacturing facilities for Hendrickson's Trailer Division. Candidate will work closely with manufacturing facilities to achieve continuous improvement. Candidate will work closely with divisional Product Engineering to ensure new product designs fit appropriately into our assembly processes.

Essential Functions

Recommend/develop tools and designs for assembly processes.

Develop step by step instructions for assembly and various related processes.

Facilitate periodic review meetings with manufacturing plants.

Assist and develop programs for new and existing manufactured products.

Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrates excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• 3D modeling software (Creo preferred).

Physical Demands

• Travel (10%).
• Ability to use a hoist to lift parts up to 2,000 LB.

Environmental Conditions

• Able to temporarily work in a plant environment (weld smoke, paint fumes, loud machines) for projects.

Behavioral Traits

• Able to work closely with other departments for problem solving and planning.
