Position Summary:
Endpoint Management Analyst 1 (EA1) The Endpoint Management Analyst 1 works independently and under the direction of senior analysts and the team's manager to support the centralized services which manage operating systems and applications on university computer devices. This position follows defined standards, procedures, and processes to build applications updates and configuration changes, test packages before deployment, and maintain accurate technical documentation. This position provides direct support to the technical staff who utilize the team's services through use of a ticketing system, phone/video calls, and chat. Endpoint Management Analyst 2 (EA2) The Endpoint Management Analyst 2 is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure, processes and standards used for centralized management of university computing devices. This position is responsible for securely packaging and patching operating systems and applications, managing centralized network-based application licenses, providing centralized print queue services, and providing virtualized applications and desktops. This position works closely with technical staff across the university who utilize these services by providing them with guidance, training, and support.

Salary Range, depending on education and experience:

  • Endpoint Management Analyst 1: $52,000 + DOE
  • Endpoint Management Analyst 2: $72,000 + DOE


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
EA1
  • One year of experience configuring and installing and troubleshooting operating systems and applications
  • One year of experience working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
  • One year of experience providing support and customer service related to technology


EA2
  • Four years of experience using automation tools to package, deploy, and patch Apple and/or Microsoft operating systems and applications
  • Four years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Apple and/or Microsoft operating systems and applications
  • Experience communicating technical information to technical personnel at various levels in the organization


Preferred Qualifications:
EA1
  • Experience using automation tools to package, deploy and patch Apple and Microsoft operating systems and applications
  • Exposure to and willingness to work with both Apple and Microsoft operating systems
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Knowledge of basic technology-related security best practices.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Experience working cooperatively and communicating effectively with management, colleagues, and end-users in a customer service driven environment
  • Experience communicating technical information to technical personnel at various levels in the organization


EA2
  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology (or a related field)
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience working cooperatively and communicating effectively with management, colleagues, and end-users in a customer service driven environment
  • Experience interacting with users and with vendor support to identify and resolve hardware, operating system, and application problems
  • Programming or scripting skills
  • Experience applying knowledge of proper practices for working in a secure IT environment
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with the following products and services:
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft Company Portal
  • Microsoft Group Policy
  • Powershell
  • Jamf
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Citrix XenApp
  • Mobile device management


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Lifting, carrying, and/or otherwise move devices weighing up to 50 lbs.
