RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce Inc. is seeking a full-time EMI/EMC Test Technician to support our enterprise technology client based in Franklin, MA.Summary:Accountable for Conducting Electronic Magnetic Interference / Electronic Magnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing on information technology equipment in accordance with test request and work instruction at the appropriate work site. Ensure test equipment and related facilities are maintained and calibrated. Advise peers and management on matters related to EMI/EMC testing.;Principal Duties:Test:
  • Configure prototype and production units for testing, as required by the test standard, work instructions, and test request
  • Perform testing
  • Document measurements
  • Attach test data and documentation to the test request
  • Assist Regulatory Engineers and LOB Engineers in testing of projects
  • Provide status and progress of assigned system projects
  • Contact Regulatory Engineer or LOB Engineer immediately upon failure of a compliance test
  • Maintain test files for Dell Regulatory Compliance Test Laboratories in accordance with the Quality System
Calibrate / Maintain:
  • Assist Lab Manager with test equipment calibration documentation in accordance to the Quality System (monitoring equipment calibration due dates, records, calibration certificates, maintenance records, etc.)
  • Assist with Maintaining facilities records in accordance to the Quality System (temperature, humidity, etc.)
Quality System Activities:
  • Meet the Quality System requirements for corrective and preventative actions
  • Meet the training provisions as defined in the Compliance Test Laboratory training documentation
  • Document training in the personnel Training Record


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical discipline
  • 2-5 years of hands-on electronics compliance testing, preferably in EMI/EMC
  • Working knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements
  • Networking and/or computer OS, firmware and hardware experience a plus
