Electrical (Program Controls) Engineering

Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, LLC, a leading manufacturer of magnesia chemical products and applications, seeks a high-energy, independent, self-driven electrical process professional.

Position Summary

• Key accountabilities of the position include: design, troubleshoot, calibrate and support electrical power, control, measurement, and instrumentation systems

• Design and layout general instructions and electrical prints; ability to develop PLC programs from inception to completed project

• Specify, purchase, test, troubleshoot and calibrate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gaseous, and electronic devices during the initial installation and commissioning

• Program and configure hardware and software for all families of PLC's, PLC graphical user interfaces, and support variable frequency AC and DC electronic motor drives

• Must be proficient with computer file and directory structures for PLC program archiving purposes

• Must work closely with PLC software support technicians and instrument technicians for PLC problem-solving

• Proficient in the utilization of PLC software for troubleshooting purposes

• Capable of using AutoCAD for print development

• Assist in Training and Development of Electrical Department in PLC's, Drives, Networks

Preferences

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5 yearsof prior relevant work experience in Electrical Design/Controls
• Legacy to current Allen Bradley PLC and PanelView software versions
• Proficiency at reading and interpreting electrical engineering drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required
• Must be able to adhere to all safety practices and lead safety practices
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
• Candidates should be ambitious self-starters with a strong work ethic, good organization skills, and possess an attention to detail and dedication to a team environment.
