Our West Engineering Design Organization (EDO) team is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the team! In this role, you will be part of our design team helping with project related tasks include computer added drafting and design (AutoCAD) related to electrical and automation drawings, PLC programming, SCADA, and automation. This position can be based in San Luis Obispo or Irvine, CA

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Developing and applying CAD, Revit and Autodesk 360 software on Electrical and automation drawings related to projects.
• PLC programming as well asadditional electrical engineering software such as AGI, SKM and Etap
• Work with the lead engineer and other team members assisting with day-to-day project activities.
• Perform site and field work. Proper training will be provided by GHD prior to entering the field

Successful skills:

• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Programing expertise and learning capability of computer software
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled an a 4 year progam in Electrical/Computer Science Engineering Technology or other Engineering/Science field

Salary offered: 19 - 22 USD /hour
