Ardurra is seeking anElectrical Engineering Intern to join our staff in Dallas, TX.

Primary Function

Under general supervision, performs assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related design engineering tasks. This includes limited experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design tools.

Primary Duties

• Assists in design power distribution, lighting controls, grounding, and lightning protection systems with respect to buildings projects
• Assists in electrical load calculations
• Short circuit, overcurrent coordination and arc flash studies
• Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices
• Provides miscellaneous task assignment to support project team
• Coordinate with other disciplines and trades, such as Instrumentation, Process, and Mechanical engineering, as well as field operations

Education and Experience Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Junior or Senior within an Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Civil Engineering studies
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
• Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, electric machines, building systems design, electrical power systems design and codes and standards
• Demonstrated interest in the electrical engineering industry with an emphasis on power and control systems
• Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCad, Autodesk MEP, AGI 32, SKM Power Tools a plus but not required
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently
