Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • * Test engineer will report to Factory Focus Manager and collaborate with R&D design, manufacturing, project management, and purchasing teams on NPI and sustaining engineering problem solving.
  • Test engineers perform technical problem solving, innovation through creative technical solutions, and clear communication of findings to team members.
  • Organize and maintain new and existing engineering and manufacturing documentation
  • Perform extensive testing on design prototypes and models
  • Ensure test processes adhere to applicable industry and business standards
  • Ability to drive complex problems to root cause; and, implement effective solutions which make both engineering and business sense are essential within this position
  • Must be team oriented and passionate about craftsmanship, innovation, and quality
  • Work to continuously improve product quality and process efficiency, with an eye on yields, throughput, and manufacturability
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong experience with power, analog, and digital circuit design principles
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and optical design; and, lab measurement principles
  • Experience with multi-layer circuit board design and fabrication technologies
  • Ability to coordinate and interface with circuit board manufacturing suppliers
  • Experience converting circuit schematic diagrams to ECAD drawings to printed circuit board designs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with electro-optical manufacturing processes
  • Experience within design team environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle based ERP systems in support of manufacturing processes

Required Education/Experience:
  • BSEET/BSEE required

Work Schedule / Hours:
  • Travel (< 10%)
