The Electric Drive Modules (EDMs) System Engineer is responsible for ensuring EDMs' functions are successfully achieved by the design, assembly, and integration of EDMs subsystems as they interact in the context of the whole vehicle. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for multi-functional areas of the EDM system, including defining requirements for EDM system and its subcomponents- eMotor, PIM, Gearbox. Pump. Systems engineer would be responsible for defining and optimizing EDM systems considering all the constraints, for all vehicle platforms. System engineer will lead the trade-off studies and work with internal teams and with suppliers for designing best EDMs. System engineer will lead in defining the process and in further developing tools to optimize EDM design and evaluate EDM performance and efficiency. Systems Engineer would also lead in identifying and managing EDM SW features for maximizing EDM efficiency and performance. This role will support DREs by providing technical assistance and expertise in resolving EDM system level issues. System Engineer will stay abreast of new EDMs technology, including Benchmarking activities. The Engineer will participate in EDMs technical roadmap and develop different EDMs concepts to meet its technical specs, life, and quality requirements.
