The Department of Educational Studies in the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University invites applications for a full-time (12-month) clinical faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate, in Educational Administration with a focus on teaching and directing the superintendent and principal licensure programs. The position will begin in August 2022. The Department of Educational Studies has a commitment to excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service that advances the educational environment across a diversity of contexts and peoples. The Department values collaborative scholarship among colleagues in and across the College, University, and other relevant stakeholders. Qualifications: The position requires the candidate to demonstrate successful teaching and leadership as a K-12 school building and/or district level administrator. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability to effectively network with local K-12 school administrators, show potential to develop strong relationships with state and national school leadership organizations, and exhibit experience working with licensure standards and accreditation. Preference will be given to those with superintendent experience.

The candidate must meet the following required qualifications:

  • An earned doctorate in the field of Educational Administration or a related area.
  • A commitment to educational equity, diversity, and inclusion (e.g., evidence of high commitment to the success of marginalized populations).
  • A documented ability to teach graduate-level courses in educational leadership.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be an experienced school building and/or district administrator. Responsibilities include teaching, marketing, and recruiting for the superintendent licensure program, chairing admissions selection of potential licensure candidates, day-to-day program management, conducting program evaluations, and overseeing CAEP and state level accreditation and licensure. Opportunities for advising M.A. and Ed.D. students would also be available.
