DISPATCHER/SECURITY OFFICER (4 Open Positions)

POSITION: DISPATCHER/SECURITY OFFICER

DEPARTMENT: CAMPUS POLICE

DIVISION: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

OPENING DATE: AUGUST 17, 2022

CLOSING DATE: UNTIL FILLED

The University currently has 4 open positions for Dispatcher/Security Officers.

Responsibilities: Under the occasional supervision, maintains security at the University's main entrance, resident hall, or other assigned posts and patrols campus, performing general security duties to ensure the strict enforcement of state and local laws and University rules and regulations relating to public safety and welfare. Reports to the Chief of Police.

Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by desired training and one to two years of experience as a security guard or in law enforcement, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which that provides the required skills, knowledge, and experience. Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Finalists for this position are subject to a background check. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check
