This is what you will do:

As part of the Hematology and Nephrology (Hem/Neph) U.S. commercial team, the Director, U.S. Marketing, Franchise Strategy will be reporting into the VP, US Hematology and Nephrology Business Unit Lead and partner with the US cross-functional teams to drive Hem/Neph cross-therapeutic area (TA) strategy and tactics. The role will also partner across functional teams and with the global team to represent the US commercial Hem/Neph team for select launches. Additionally, the individual will work closely with the Hem/Neph leadership team to ensure alignment of goals, measurement of progress against key cross-TA initiatives, and early identification of issues and opportunities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Hem/Neph leadership team in identifying cross-TA priorities, risks and opportunities
  • Leading cross-functional workstreams to develop strategies and tactics that enable cross-TA strategies and goals
  • Develop and help manage progress monitoring for cross-TA and key cross-functional initiatives to advance TA goals
  • Synthesizing complex business issues to communicate succinctly and formulate recommendations and actions plans
  • Supporting annual strategic and operational planning providing cross functional alignment and effectiveness
  • Working collaboratively across US commercial team as well as key cross functional partners like global team, medical affairs, market access, patient advocacy, legal and compliance to support flawless execution of launch planning for select pipeline products/indications
  • Representing the US on global teams leading on select early pipeline Hem/Neph assets/indications
  • Development of select early launch plans including timeline, budget and resourcing plan
  • Developing forecasts and launch uptake projections in partnership with finance and analytics
  • Developing launch brand value proposition and message platform in partnership with global marketing, medical, HEOR, patient advocacy and market access
  • Developing launch strategy and execution plan across personal and non-personal channel for both HCP and patients
  • Managing brand AOR and other agencies as well as launch budget for pipeline assets as needed

You will need to have:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience within biotech/pharma
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and drive best in class customer experience
  • Strong strategic mindset and business acumen
  • Ability to perform under pressure and to make decisions and recommendations despite uncertainty
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills and storytelling to win hearts and minds
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated track record and ability to drive results as an effective team member and cross-functional leader.
  • Must demonstrate an energy, enthusiasm and passion which brings a positive approach to all challenges and team
  • Strong collaboration, relationship building / networking skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • High sense of ethics and responsibility
  • Ability to travel as required to meet business needs
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:
  • Previous launch planning in the U.S. is required
  • MBA
