The Software Engineering capability at Slalom brings our clients' vision to life! We build full-stack solutions across a range of established and emerging technologies and techniques according to the needs of our clients including:

  • Front end applications targeting native mobile and modern web platforms. Examples include React, Angular and Vue
  • APIs and back end services built using emerging frameworks and architectural patterns. Examples include Node, Typescript, Java and .Net
  • Hosting and application services provided by industry leading cloud providers. Examples include AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Operational efficiencies leveraging modern ecosystems and automated build and deployment pipelines
  • Collaborative build practices that allow our teams to be agile and responsive to our clients' needs.
What You'll Do
  • Lead a domain of our software engineering practice responsible for talent development and management, continued practice growth and delivery excellence
  • Solution and sell outcome-based consulting engagements through strong collaboration with sales teams, business or industry focused campaigns, and proactive opportunity origination
  • Manage overall delivery excellence for the software engineering domain while occasionally "deep diving" into large scale delivery engagements and proactively identifying issues and risks
  • Collaborating with other Slalom organizations, our alliance partners, and key senior leaders to drive practice growth
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting and 5+ years of experience in senior consulting leadership roles focused on growing technical consulting practices including managing $10M+ P/L, developing offerings and go to market strategies, and hiring and developing new leaders
  • Skills in taking first client meetings with senior client executives and listening for broader business opportunities and identifying potential areas of engagement and becoming a trusted advisor to Director to CxO level client stakeholders
  • Broad experience across the full software development lifecycle with recent experience leading agile (XP, Scrum, SAFe) at scale (multiple teams or large programs)
  • You are a practitioner of modern software engineering techniques (DevSecOps, Test Driven Development, Cloud Native Application Development) with experience advocating for their benefits with key client stakeholders
  • Previous experience in technical software engineering leadership roles (Solution Architect, Technical Leader, Director of Engineering, CTO
